PLOT
“The Technicians” is a caper movie about the activities of criminal technicians against a port background.[sr] follows the exploits of the best safe-cracker (Kim Woo-Bin) and those that work with him. [sr]
Ji-hyuk is a safe-cracker who lives the high life by stealing antiques and jewelry. He teams up with genius hacker Jong-bae and other fellow "technicians" to steal ₩10.5 billion hidden in the Incheon Customs, and they must do it within 40 minutes. [sr]
NOTES
Filming began in March 2014 and wrapped in August 2014.The film is currently in post-production, and is scheduled for release in December 2014.
According to Lotte Entertainment, Criminal Designer was presold to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines at the Asian Film Market, which was held in Busan on October 8, 2014.
It was the first Korean production to film in the city of Abu Dhabi, with locations at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Emirates Palace and the Hilton Capital Grand.
